Volunteer Trips to Pine Ridge Reservation
RE-MEMBER brings more than 1,200 volunteers to Pine Ridge each year for week-long working vacations, with an emphasis on cultural exchange. Working with our staff, you will help with various projects
across the reservation, while learning about the culture and history of the Lakota people.
With your help we can build relationships, and improve the lives of the Oglala Lakota people living on Pine Ridge Reservation.
How to Volunteer
To check for availability and sign up for a trip, contact Paula, the Volunteer Trip Coordinator. We'll send you our Reservation Agreement and deposit information while holding your spots for one month.
The total cost for a week-long service-learning trip (Saturday to Friday) is $455.00 for volunteers age 13 and over, and $227.50 for children aged 6-12 during Family Week. This fee includes a 4% tax.
All food, housing, and transportation while on the reservation is included during your volunteer trip with RE-MEMBER. However, trip cost does not include your transportation to and from our site, or snack and souvenir items.
Due to the ever-increasing cost of transportation and vehicle maintenance, we were forced to increase our prices - the first increase in several years. We are unhappy with the necessity of having to do this. Unfortunately, if we did not, the number of projects we are able to do in a season, and the services we provide to the Lakota Oyate would be negatively impacted and, obviously, we would prefer that not happen.
