My Re-Member experience began in March of 2008. A one-week visit as a college student became a two-summer staff position that evolved into a seat on the Board of Directors, which led to a five-year tenure as Executive Director.

What an experience these last fifteen years have been.

Although I will be departing from my daily role at the end of the year, Re-Member will not be far from my thoughts – or my heart. And Re-Member is in great hands going forward, under the leadership of my friend and colleague, Will Paese.

Please come volunteer with Will and the Re-Member team in 2024.

I am grateful for the opportunity to have served alongside so many of you. To have learned with you. To endure a pandemic with you. To steward your generously donated dollars. And to share our vision of a better today, and tomorrow here on Pine Ridge with you.

I am humbled to have worked with passionate and dedicated colleagues, past and present. Those who have given so much to build relationships, and to build things, improving the quality of life for so many here on Pine Ridge.

I will forever be inspired by the tenacity, warmth, and generosity of the Pine Ridge community. For the relationships forged and wisdom imparted by dear friends who have become a second family.

Winter Heating Assistance Program Update

We are approaching our goal of raising $50,000 for Re-Member’s Winter Heating Assistance Program. There is still time to make a tax-deductible donation! Your gift will provide families and elders with firewood through the winter, along with emergency propane and electric utility assistance.

Alternative Gift Giving Options

We encourage you to consider our alternative gift giving options this holiday season. Make a contribution to Re-Member in honor of a friend or loved one, and Re-Member will send a personalized card to the recipient, acknowledging your gift. 

You can also shop Re-Member’s online store for beautiful handcrafted items from many Oglala Lakota artisans. Your purchase directly supports the artists of Pine Ridge, and Re-Member’s work across the reservation. The last day to shop before the Christmas holiday will be Sunday, December 17.
